Welcome to the official FBAS Website

'the most informative and laid out site, with so much information'

Now in its 84th year, the FBAS is the UK's largest, non-profit making fishkeeping body.
This site will tell you all about us and what we do.

But we want to hear from you too: if you have any fishkeeping problems or queries we're here to help , but if you're in the middle of a successful period with your fish then why not share the good news with us too?

Feel free to browse our site - use the SITE DIRECTORY (left) - and, if you wish, get in touch with us directly by or by contacting the relevant FBAS Officer by using the button.

FBAS STOP PRESS NEWS:DUE TO PLATINUM JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS, FBAS ASSEMBLY WILL BE ON SATURDAY 2nd JULY.
All Societies have their own evolutional history,
and there's always someone somewhere who was
instrumental in its establishmemt and development.
Dave Page has been in touch to inform of the
passing of Founder-Member Derrick Atkins who
played such a great role in Corby's history.

SOUTHEND SADNESS
It is with sorrow that we report the passing of
Alan Chandler our Secretary on Monday 13th of June.
Alan had been our Secretary for a number of years after
moving into the Southend area, Previously he held
several posts in the Walthamstow Club whom he joined
when he was still studying at college - and within a short time found
himself Secretary.
Alan was a first class fish breeder and recalled one Show
when the judges (no names given) disqualified his breeders
team of Neon Tetras, not believing he could have possibly bred them!
